A Norwex Passion
My mindset has changed a lot as I've aged...as do most people's I believe. I don't want to jump on a political band wagon here, but to cut right to it, I do believe as a society, we put a lot of trust into the marketing world. People in general are GOOD and I believe as a human, we find it hard to fathom that the INTENT of another human being is to harm us. But again, my mindset has aged, life experiences have taught me a lot, and now that I literally have the capability to research just about anything right at my fingertips, I've learned we have been deceived...BIG TIME. I encourage everyone to research research and research whenever time allows you. Even if it's just for 10 minutes a day/night. When something bothers you or when someone tells you something that just doesn't seem to add up or make sense, trust your gut, research it out.
With that being said, I'll fill you in on my journey that "got me wiser". A couple of years ago, Bill and I decided, as a New Year's Resolution, we were going to eat a bit 'cleaner'. Nothing hard core, just eliminate refined sugar, pass on processed food, try to eat out less. This journey had me researching ingredients, recipes, etc. I can't say we stuck to it, but I can say, it wasn't easy at first and very eye opening. VERY EYE OPENING. I started questioning where our food was coming from, why organic was such a big deal, why are people getting sick so often, why are there so may cases of childhood cancer, etc. etc.. Fast forward a year and I decided I was taking this journey up a notch. I wanted to research household products. Everything from cleaners, to laundry detergent, to candles and plug ins. Sometimes I just want to smack myself for going down that rabbit hole! I started making small changes around the house, from making my own laundry detergent to cutting out plastic wrap and making my own bees wax wraps (see my Etsy store for those!) COVID hit and I immediately starting pushing a vitamin regimen for me and Bill. Then one day I received a Facebook invite to a Norwex online party. I decided to accept and joined the three days of fun, reading and watching videos the Norwex consultant posted. I was pretty intrigued by what I was seeing and did my own research on the company, etc. I was thinking pretty hard about placing an order for a couple products when the consultant posted another video. It was about joining her team and becoming a consultant myself. I decided to reach out to her and ask her some questions. When it was all said and done, it was a no brainer. Norwex was on the same page as me, and with their help, I was able to achieve my personal household goals! No more HARSH chemicals in my home!
After signing up, mainly as a selfish motive of receiving product discount, I realized by having Norwex parties, I was actually being a part of the same research I had seeked out! I was someone's research tool and I could share what I know, learned, or experienced. Again. we are a trusting society so I wanted to make sure that whatever was spewing from my mouth was what I learned and believe to be true. And like most, people are shocked. Shocked by what they didn't know and shocked by what Norwex can do.
